Dubai is set to celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, from November 2 to 12 with a citywide programme of cultural events, shopping promotions, entertainment and dining experiences.
Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment
(DFRE), part of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), the
celebrations aim to bring residents and visitors together to experience the
festival’s vibrant traditions.
With Diwali falling on 8 November, this year’s programme
will focus on three key pillars: Shopping & Rewards, Experiences and
Citywide Celebrations, highlighting Dubai’s multicultural spirit through
family-friendly activities, cultural performances and festive attractions.
Shopping and rewards will be among the main highlights, with
retailers and malls offering special promotions and opportunities to win
prizes.
Diwali Gold Rush will feature jewellery offers and gold
rewards, while the Shop. Scan. Win campaign will give shoppers spending AED200
($54) or more at participating malls the chance to win one of two Soueast cars.
Additional promotions include the chance to win a Jaecoo J8
SUV at City Centre Deira and a Jetour T1 at BurJuman, adding to the festive
shopping experience across the city.
Cultural attractions will also feature prominently
throughout the celebrations. Visitors can enjoy Noor – Festival of Lights at
Souk Al Seef, Diwali festivities at Global Village and colourful celebrations
at BurJuman.
These events will offer opportunities for families and
visitors to experience the traditions, performances and atmosphere associated
with the festival.
Dubai’s dining scene will join the festivities with special
menus and experiences at restaurants including Jamavar, Varq, Bombay Brasserie
and Kinara by Vikas Khanna.
From major shopping destinations and entertainment venues to
neighbourhood malls and restaurants, Festival of Lights in Dubai 2026 will
offer a diverse programme designed to unite communities and encourage residents
and tourists to explore the city.
The celebrations are expected to strengthen Dubai’s position as a destination for cultural experiences, combining traditional festivities with shopping, entertainment and hospitality offerings. -TradeArabia News Service
