Supreme Council for Health (SCH) chairman Lieutenant General Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa yesterday announced that the National Health Insurance Programme for Residents will come into effect today.
He highlighted that the programme represents an important step towards further developing Bahrain’s healthcare system and strengthening its sustainability by regulating residents’ access to healthcare services through a comprehensive health insurance framework .
