Qatar's Ministry of Justice has introduced a new courtroom uniform for lawyers inspired by traditional Arab and Qatari attire, incorporating elements of the bisht.
The new attire consists of a black robe featuring golden sleeve embroidery designed to reflect national identity and heritage.
The attire includes triangular sleeve markings to indicate a lawyer's court standing.
Robes with no triangular markings are assigned to trainee lawyers, while one represents the Court of First Instance, two denote the Court of Appeal and three represent the Court of Cassation.
The uniform applies to both male and female lawyers as part of broader efforts to standardise professional dress across the judicial system.
