Saudi Arabia has ordered the immediate closure of 66 recruitment agencies and revoked the operating licence of another following widespread operational violations.
The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development confirmed that legal action was taken against 67 agencies following an extensive monitoring and investigation campaign.
Inspectors uncovered multiple infractions, including improper recruitment practices, delayed customer refunds and a failure to resolve client complaints.
The agencies were granted a deadline to rectify their violations but were ordered to shut down after failing to comply, with one agency losing its licence permanently.
