HANDBALL – BAHRAIN overcame an early deficit to edge past Belarus 30-28 last night in an international friendly handball game played at home.
The kingdom’s senior men’s handball national team found themselves in a 10-14 hole at the half but brilliantly dug themselves out and battled back for the narrow two-goal victory at the Bahrain Handball Federation (BHF) Arena in Um Al Hassam Sports Complex.
The tune-up was the first of two exhibition contests between the two sides, being held as part of this handball season’s international break, which is scheduled to continue until Sunday.
The Bahrainis and Belarusians are scheduled to face off once more tomorrow evening at the same venue.
