Manama: Steps taken by Bahrain to maintain security were backed yesterday as condemnations poured in for a terror blast that killed a policeman and injured seven others, including a child.
The explosion, in Karranah near Country Mall on Budaiya Highway on Friday night, was condemned by representatives of Kuwait, the UAE, Jordan, Arab League and GCC secretary-general Dr Abdullatif Al Zayani.
They said the attack was against Islamic and humane values and expressed solidarity with Bahrain and its people in confronting efforts aimed at subverting the kingdom’s security.
The deadly explosion was also condemned by ministers, parliament and Shura Council chairmen, senior officials and organisations, with calls for unity against foreign plots targeting Bahrain.
