Bahrain has strongly condemned drone attacks targeting Gulf states.
The kingdom denounced the drone attack targeting a commercial cargo vessel within the territorial waters of Qatar while en route from Abu Dhabi.
The Foreign Ministry considers this a flagrant violation of international law and a dangerous escalation that threatens the safety of maritime navigation and undermines regional and international security and stability.
In a statement, the ministry reiterated Bahrain’s full solidarity with Qatar, supporting all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and the integrity of its territorial waters. It also renewed the kingdom’s call for enhanced regional and international co-operation to protect the safety of commercial shipping lanes and vital supply chains in the region.
Bahrain also condemned the targeting of Kuwait by several hostile drones within its airspace, which makes a dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and stability, and a flagrant violation of international law, the principles of good neighbourliness, and regional ceasefire agreements.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry reiterated Bahrain’s full solidarity with Kuwait, expressing its total support for all measures taken to safeguard Kuwaiti sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
Bahrain also strongly condemned and denounced the continued blatant and unjustified Iranian attacks targeting the UAE, which include the recent launch of two UAVs that were successfully engaged by UAE air defences.
The Foreign Ministry considers these actions a flagrant violation of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the principles of good neighbourliness. Furthermore, these attacks constitute a direct breach of UN Security Council Resolution 2817 and existing regional ceasefire agreements.
- Lebanon expressed its strong condemnation of the plots revealed by the Interior Ministry, linked to an organisation associated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, aimed at undermining the kingdom’s security and stability and endangering internal peace.
Yemen expressed its support and full endorsement of the measures taken by Bahrain in response to activities observed that affect national security and aim to undermine its security and stability.
Yemen said that the country stands in full solidarity with Bahrain in all measures it takes to protect its security, sovereignty and the safety of its citizens.
