His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with Faisal Akef Al-Fayez, President of the Senate of Jordan, at Gudaibiya Palace.
His Royal Highness affirmed that the longstanding nature of the relationship between Bahrain and Jordan, and that continues to develop across various fields, supported by His Majesty King Hamad and King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of Jordan, to strengthen cooperation to achieve common aspirations.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised the importance of continuing to enhance the critical role that joint coordination, particularly the executive and legislative fields, plays in advancing bilateral relations and supporting national growth and prosperity for both countries and their peoples.
His Royal Highness commended the efforts of King Abdulla II in consolidating Bahrain-Jordan relations and highlighted Jordan’s longstanding support for Bahrain under His Majesty’s leadership, including its solidarity with the Kingdom in confronting hostile Iranian aggression.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed that Bahrain stands alongside Jordan in all measures undertaken to safeguard its sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to further develop bilateral relations and regional and international developments of common interest.
For his part, Al-Fayez expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness' commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation between the two Kingdoms, wishing Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, and several senior officials, also attended the meeting.
