UAE national carrier Etihad Airways has immediately suspended all flights to Qatari capital Doha, said a report.
The announcement comes after the UAE, along with Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt, severed diplomatic ties with Qatar over its relationship with Iran and its support of the Muslim Brotherhood," Gulf Business reported citing a statement from Saudi Arabia's state news agency.
The airline “will suspend all flights to and from Doha until further notice”, the report said quoting a statement from the airline.
The last flight from Abu Dhabi to Doha will depart as EY399 at 2.45am (local time) on June 6. Meanwhile the last flight from the Qatari capital to the UAE capital will depart as EY390 at 4.00am (local time) on the same day, it said.
All Etihad flights today (June 5) will operate as normal, the spokesperson added.
“All customers who are booked on Etihad Airways flights to and from Doha are being provided with alternative options, including full refunds on unused tickets and free rebooking to the nearest alternate Etihad Airways destinations,” the report said.
“Etihad Airways regrets any inconvenience caused as a result of the suspension.”
