On the occasion of Bangladesh’s Independence Day, the Bahrain Financing Company (BFC) highlights its remittance service offerings.
As one of the oldest and most reputed money transfer and foreign exchange companies in the kingdom, the BFC has been remitting money since 1917 and prides itself on providing safe and reliable services to its customers.
With more than 50 strategically located branches across the country, the BFC is well placed to serve the local and expatriate communities.
It offers remittances to Bangladesh through EzRemit Money Transfer (EzRemit) – its own leading money transfer product, direct bank transfers instantly through partner banks in Bangladesh and other money transfer service providers such as MoneyGram, Xpress Money and Transfast.
Established in 2003, EzRemit is currently present in more than 30 countries with more than 44,000 agent locations.
The relaunch of the enhanced BFC app demonstrates its commitment to providing innovative and convenient products and services.
Through the app, customers have easy access to fast and secure online money transfers to more than 150 countries, anytime, anywhere.
Features of the new app include money transfer with Smart Money, currency converter, up-to-date exchange rates and fees, favourite currencies management tool and corporate services features.
Both corporate and individual customers can enjoy an array of benefits including preferential rates and charges, booking foreign currency and money transfer, managing beneficiaries and tracking order history, as well as delivery and pick-up options when booking an order.
Commercially registered entities across Bahrain can register for the corporate services on the app by filling in the online form, after which they will be contacted by BFC to complete the app registration.
The new app is free to download on the App Store and Google Play.
The BFC’s commitment to the local community continues through several corporate social responsibility initiatives and participation in social causes.
The company helped Kerala flood victims by donating a significant amount to the Kerala Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, participation in the Bahrain Relay Marathon, distribution of 3,000 Iftar meals during Ramadan, a blood donation drive and free health check-up for customers.
A major milestone in 2018 for BFC Group Holdings (BFC’s parent holding company) was the launch of BFC Payments, which will concentrate on several platforms of payment processing with more focus on digital horizons.
