Kuwait City: A lawsuit calling for the social networking service ‘Twitter’ to be banned in Kuwait has made its way to the court.
A Kuwaiti court will hold a session on November 5 to consider the case which was lodged by Kuwaiti the legal firm of lawyer Mohammed Al-Ansari.
Speaking on behalf of the firm, lawyer Anwar Jabli claimed ‘Twitter’ had become ‘destructive’.
She said that the “government is not able to stop fake twitter accounts which are harming people and defaming their reputation and dignity”.
