Dubai: Public and private schools in the United Arab Emirates will remain closed on Thursday.
Minister of Education Hussain Al Hammadi made the announcement on Twitter, reported The National.
Earlier, Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec) on Tuesday announced that all schools in the emirate of Abu Dhabi will be closed on March 9 (Wednesday) due to unstable weather in the region.
The news was declared on Adec’s official twitter account.
Heavy rain lashed in many parts of the emirates on Tuesday afternoon, disrupting events like Abu Dhabi Air Expo, reported Gulf News.
The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology issued weather warning for next two days, urging the public to be on the alert for ‘hazardous weather.’
