CANADIAN School of Bahrain has become a certified British Columbia, Canada offshore school.
It received the certification after successfully completing an inspection to ensure its compliance with the British Columbia Global Education Programme by the Offshore Director of Operations from Canada in early December.
Needs
The school, located in Diyar Al Muharraq, emphasises a whole-child approach that takes into account the child’s personal, social, thinking, communication, and physical needs. There is also a focus on technology integration to support and enhance learning.
“Receiving the BC offshore school certification means that we have met the standards of a school in British Columbia, Canada,” said Canadian School of Bahrain principal Abby Saadeh.
“We are committed to maintaining the BC Offshore school standards.
Teachers
“As principal, it is an honour to work with such dedicated, passionate, and highly trained British Columbia, Canada certified teachers.
“All who are focused on providing students with an internationally acclaimed education.”
British Columbia offshore schools are inspected and certified by the British Columbia Ministry of Education which has a set of requirements that must be met by the school.
Requirements include lesson planning, competency-based learning, and assessment that allows for ongoing feedback between teachers and students.
