Bahrainis across the kingdom took to social media wishing His Majesty King Hamad a happy birthday and many more years of success.
King Hamad was born on January 28, 1950 and heartfelt wishes flooded social media sites such as Twitter and Instagram with Bahrainis of all ages wishing His Majesty fruitful years of wise leadership.
"I'm a day early just so that no one tells you, Happy birthday Your Majesty, before I do - Long live the King and happiest birthday," posted His Majesty’s representative for charity work and youth affairs, National Security Adviser and Supreme Council for Youth and Sport chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa on his official Instagram account late on Monday night.
Parliament’s foreign affairs, defence and national security committee chairman Mohammed Al Sissi posted a picture of His Majesty on his Twitter dressed in military attire and wished him a long life as Bahrain’s King.
Meanwhile, Bahrain Journalists Association president Ahdeya Ahmed also posted a picture of herself with His Majesty King Hamad, calling him the ‘King of our Hearts’.
Bahrainis of all ages also flooded the Instagram account @hamadbinisa, which displays pictures of His Majesty King Hamad, wishing him a happy birthday, expressing love and devotion, and wishing King Hamad a long life.
