Riyadh: Lebanese security forces apprehended several Lebanese nationals involved in breaking into the office of Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat.
Security forces said in a statement, that it arrested one of the attackers, while six others surrendered themselves.
A search warrant was issued against another attacker, the statement added. Interrogation of the suspects is being underway, according to Lebanese media.
Two days ago, a group of 10 unidentified attackers broke into the office of the Saudi newspaper in Beirut and ransacked its office.
Lebanese relations with the Gulf States have deteriorated since February, when Saudi Arabia announced it was cutting its military aid to the Lebanese army which is seen as being dominated by Hizbollah.
