A proposal to have the government purchase the International Hospital of Bahrain in Jidhafs was presented by MPs today.
It has been referred by Parliament chairwoman Fouzia Zainal to the services committee for review.
Under the proposal submitted by five MPs led by committee chairman and area MP Mamdooh Al Saleh the aim is to have a government medical facility for people in the area.
Others who have signed the proposal are Ms Zainal, Parliament first vice-chairman Abdulnabi Salman, legislative and legal affair committee chairman Mohammed Al Abbasi and MP Ali Ishaqi.
