MANAMA: The academic year 2020-2021 will start as scheduled in September, with the presence of members of the educational and administrative bodies of government and private educational institutions.
The Education Ministry yesterday said it will determine the learning experience provided for public schools for the new academic year – whether in-person, remote, or a hybrid model incorporating both methods.
However, the mode of learning and start date for private kindergartens, schools and higher educational institutions will be left to the discretion of their administration.
The ministry stressed the need to observe health and precautionary measures issued by the authorities.
It also highlighted the importance of communicating with students and parents to complete any requirements in preparation for the next academic year.
Meanwhile, a circular issued by Education Ministry assistant under-secretary for private and continuous education Jaffar Al Shaikh said students in private schools and kindergartens would begin their new academic year on September 16 with faculty members returning on September 1.
