A lovely little read, The Dogs Who Were Left Behind by Winfred Peppinck, is great for children and their parents alike.
From the storyline to the illustrations, any animal lover and avid young reader is sure to find enjoyment in this book.
I really loved reading about Lady Lucy and Lashley the Labrador’s relationship dynamics.
The narrative was fun and full of energy, which shows Mr Peppinck’s enthusiasm in writing this book.
Also, the illustrations were a nice touch with a sketched feel to them to set the scene rather than the full page colour images that are the norm in children’s books.
The way in which the illustrations were utilised in the story rather reminds me of Roald Dahls way of presenting his stories.
The book is available on Amazon.
