Abu Dhabi: Emirati soprano Balqees Fathi announced that she is getting married to Jeddah-based Saudi businessman Sultan bin Abdullatif.
She broke the happy news on her Twitter account, saying that the date of the wedding ceremony would be announced later.
Famed Emirati singer Ahlem congratulated Balqees and wished her an "everlasting happy married life".
Balqees Ahmed Fathi is a Yemeni singer who acquired Emirati nationality.
She came from an artistic family as her father Ahmed Fathi was a well-known Yemeni musician and her mother is from United Arab Emirates.
She began her career in music early, learning to play instruments and singing. She released her debut album 'Majnoun' through Rotana Records.
She released her second studio album 'Zai Ma Ana' in 2015.
