A SENIOR MP yesterday urged Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa to provide employment figures in his ministry for 2019 and 2020. Parliament legislative and legal affairs committee chairman Fadhel Al Sawad has sought details such as the number of recruitments in police and civilian jobs, and the gender of those employed, writes Mohammed Al A’Ali.
In another question, he enquired about employment from the Capital Governorate constituency eight (Nabih Saleh and Sitra) which he represents.
The reply is expected within a maximum two weeks in writing.
The minister is also obliged to attend Parliament in person or through Zoom to answer the questions.
