Bahrain’s new airport terminal has taken a wide range of Covid-19 precautionary measures to protect travellers.
The Bahrain International Airport (BIA) today shared a video on social media highlighting the hand sanitisation stations and plastic shields installed for additional protection.

“We have implemented a wide range of extra measures that comply with the Bahrain government’s guidelines and are designed to keep you as safe as possible while travelling through BIA,” it added.
Temperature screening is mandatory at entry points to the terminal and before boarding, and anyone with a high fever will be subject to a secondary medical assessment.
To allow time for additional screening procedures, passengers must arrive at the airport at least three hours before their flight departure time.
In addition, passengers must sign a declaration form prior to departure, agreeing to bear any medical costs while abroad, as well as mandatory Covid-19 testing once they arrive in the kingdom.
