Muscat: The Diwan of Royal Court and the Ministry of Manpower in Oman announced the Eid holiday.
Eid Al Fitr holidays will start from July 5 to July 9 for government and private sector employees, Oman News Agency reported.
In UAE, government workers will be given a seven-day holiday starting next Sunday to mark Eid Al Fitr.
At a meeting of the UAE Cabinet, chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, it was confirmed that state businesses will be closed from July 3, with work resuming on Sunday, July 10.
So, the public sector employees will have nine-day holidays from July 1 to July 9 – including two weekends.
The Eid Al Fitr holiday for private sector employees in UAE is yet to be announced.
