Intercol (Shell Lubricants Authorized Distributor) has signed a sustainability driven agreement with Sham Transport, starting September 2021, centered around fuel efficiency.
The agreement will focus on providing Shell’s efficiency solution, the Shell Rimula R5 E 10W40 synthetic technology engine oil, which will increase fuel economy and extend the oil drain interval, with the purpose of decreasing Sham Transport’s fleet operations carbon footprint.
The agreement was signed by Intercol’s Deputy Director, Ali Abdul Rahman Al Wazzan and Sham Transport Managing Director, Hasan Abdulla, with the virtual attendance of Shell Lubricant leadership Team.
Speaking at the signing, Intercol’s General Manager Mr. Santosh Pai said: “Since sustainability is a priority for Shell globally, this aligns with our objectives and we are looking forward to a long-term collaboration with Sham Transport providing excellence through Shell’s fuel efficient products and advanced technology.”
Sham Transport’s Mr. Hasan Abdulla, added, “As part our commitment to sustainability, we were keen on choosing a responsible partner who will help us reduce the environmental impact of our fleet’s operations.”
Founded in 2009, Sham Transport became a leading company in passenger transportation business with a fleet of 180 buses working in employees conveying, tourism transportation and airport transfers.
Intercol has been the authorized distributor of Shell lubricants in Bahrain since 1967, providing a wide range of industrial, automotive, aviation and marine lubricants. Through the successful service, the company has gained the confidence of major customers across all the industries in Bahrain.
