STUDENTS of Al Noor International School have secured ‘phenomenal results’ in the Cambridge Assessment International Examinations by attaining 284 A*, 424 A and 318 B grades.
Thirty-three students secured a percentile of 100 per cent with a grade point average (GPA) of four and there was a 100 per cent pass rate.
A 4.0 is an entire point higher than the national average GPA. In general, a 4.0 is the ideal GPA, as experts say it means you’ve worked hard to achieve A’s in all of your classes. In the case of unweighted GPAs, a 4.0 is as good as it gets.
Meanwhile, there was a combined outcome of 72pc of all students achieving A*, A and B in the Cambridge IGCSE examinations held in June and in almost all subjects. Nine students secured 7A* and around 91pc of IGCSE students secured grades between A* to C.
School Chairman Ali Hasan, expressed delight at the school’s ‘world class results’, adding that it reflected the ‘efforts of everyone to continually improve the school’.
“We are a school with a difference and I’m proud of the difference that we make to the lives of so many young people and the life chances that we create,” he added.
School director Dr Muhammad Mashood congratulated the students on their hard work and achievements and principal Amin Mohammed Hulaiwah praised their outstanding results.
