Every time you decide to stroll around the beach, what do you come across? Trash!
You decide to do a beach activity one day. What do you come across? Trash, again!
Taking the initiative to step up and help in reducing ocean pollution is performed by very few people.
What can we do to change mindsets?
Just think about it ... taking the time to clean up beach litter has numerous benefits, from saving animals to improving the local economy!
Putting up flyers and spreading the word around schools could help address this issue to thousands of people and students.
In addition, giving out vouchers and prizes to those who take part in a beach clean-up could encourage more people to join, and help in beautifying our beaches once again.
Just imagine yourself going to the beach to get some tranquil, and you unexpectedly discover loads of trash scattered around. It wouldn’t be pleasant to look at, would it? If we want to prevent this, helping in cleaning the beach is the only true solution. Though it might not get rid of all the trash, it might help in creating a vivacious looking image the next time you come to the beach.
Also, placing trash-cans around the beach can at least allow people to have a place to dispose of their rubbish.
Furthermore, they say what goes in the ocean ends up inside of you, particularly if you eat seafood! The chemicals in these plastics can accumulate in our bodies over time and eventually cause health problems.
So cleaning up your local beach means creating a healthier world. Also, addressing the issue concerned about marine animals dying due to pollution can raise awareness amongst people to help in clean-ups.
Finally, encourage little children to care about the environment. Let’s start from an early age.
