A FURNITURE company has been ordered to pay nearly half a million dinars for items they failed to pay for over a three-year period.
A Saudi furniture company filed a case against a Bahraini furniture company at the High Civil Court for non-payment of BD475,000 since 2019.
Documents signed by the Bahraini company for the purchases were presented as evidence.
“They kept on buying items from my client but claimed they did not have customers due to Covid-19,” Fatima Abdulhadi, lawyer for the Saudi company, told the GDN after the verdict.
“This does not make sense; they should have stopped purchasing items if they could not pay for them.”
