KUWAIT CITY: An official for Kuwait’s traffic authority has announced that they are working on a plan to transfer the work permits of delivery drivers to their respective delivery companies.
Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh, assistant undersecretary of the Interior Ministry's Traffic and Operations Affairs, said that the traffic department, in cooperation with the labour authorities, is working on radical solutions to the problem of delivery workers violating residency and labour laws.
Officials intend to alleviate the issue by formally and legally transferring their work permits to the delivery companies, Al- Jarida daily reported.
Al-Sayegh advised delivery workers on the necessity to follow traffic safety procedures on roads to preserve the safety, lives and property of others.
