A FLAG hoisting ceremony was held at the Indian Embassy complex in Seef District earlier today, as the country marks its 76th Independence Day.
Indian Ambassador Piyush Srivastava hoisted the tricolour and read out Indian President Droupadi Murmu’s address to the nation.
The event, open to the public after a gap of more than two years, was attended by more than 1,000 people including representatives of the Indian community.
