AN outspoken candidate for Parliament poll has claimed that he would certainly win the Busaiteen seat, as he submitted his candidacy at Al Hidaya Al Khalifiya Secondary School for Boys, writes REEM AL DAAYSI.
Saleh Al Saadah, 36, submitted his documents for Muharraq’s constituency one (Busaiteen), which is currently being represented by sitting MP Hamad Al Kooheji, who also submitted his nomination. He was among nine hopefuls who submitted their candidacy in the first two days.
“The rights and benefits of citizens are a red line that I will not allow anyone to cross, and this is the only promise I can make,” said Mr Al Saadah.
“We hope the new Parliament will feature more young Bahrainis and I’ve been working since 2018 to prepare my electoral base.
“Today, we have a lot of young ministers in the government and we want the same for Parliament in order to elevate and empower the youth.
“The seat in Busaiteen is mine and others can just give up because I’m the only one who will win.”
Candidates for Parliament and municipal council polls will be allowed to file nominations until Sunday at designated centres in all four governorates. Those hoping to represent Muharraq’s eight constituencies can submit their documents at Al Hedaya Al Khalifiya Secondary School for Boys from 5pm to 9pm.
