Shura Council chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh expressed a sincere hope for an end to the Iranian attacks and for the return of peace to Bahrain, as he delivered an emotional address ahead of Eid Al Fitr.
Speaking during the council’s weekly session yesterday, Mr Al Saleh extended his congratulations to the leadership, government and people of Bahrain, while expressing hope that the nation would soon overcome the challenging circumstances it has recently endured.
“I hope this crisis will end by Eid and that Bahrain will once again enjoy peace, stability and reassurance for all,” he said.
Mr Al Saleh called on all segments of society to remain united and strengthen national solidarity during challenging times.
“Eid is a time of compassion, unity and social cohesion,” he said. “It is an occasion that reminds us of the importance of standing together as one nation, supporting one another and reinforcing the values of solidarity that define Bahraini society.”
The chairman also praised the leadership for their continuous follow-up and commitment to safeguarding the country following what he described as the ‘heinous aggression’ targeting Bahrain.
He paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad for his leadership and guidance during the situation.
“We appreciate the wise leadership of His Majesty and his constant care for the safety and security of the kingdom and its people,” Mr Al Saleh said.
He also commended the efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, highlighting the government’s ongoing follow-up and co-ordination among authorities.
“We highly value the tireless efforts and direct follow-up by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which reflect the government’s commitment to protecting citizens and residents and ensuring that all necessary measures are taken promptly.”
Mr Al Saleh also expressed appreciation for the dedication of national institutions and frontline teams who have been working to maintain security and provide assistance to those affected.
“Various government agencies and national teams have demonstrated remarkable professionalism and readiness in addressing the situation and ensuring the safety of the public,” he said.
He concluded his remarks by renewing Eid greetings to the Bahraini people and wishing the kingdom continued security and prosperity.
“On this blessed occasion, I extend my warmest congratulations to the leadership, the government and the people of Bahrain, praying to Allah that He protects our country, preserves its stability and returns peace to our region.”
