THE basics of mosaic art are being offered in a Mirror Mosaic Workshop on Saturday at the Art Centre in Manama.
Participants will be taught how to follow and cover pattern with mosaic tiles, how to cut different shapes and how to mix grout and fill gaps.
Interested people aged 16 and above are required to WhatsApp 39911675 to register for the workshop which costs BD15, and runs from 10am to 2pm.
An advanced-level Embroidery Workshop will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Participants will be taught in-depth stitches, experiment with a range of different threads and explore fabrics that are slightly more difficult to use.
They will receive training for seven advanced embroidery stitches, create 3D stitches as well as learn how to paint thread.
The workshop will be held from 4.30pm to 6.30pm each day at Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre.
A Bakhoor Making Workshop has been lined up on Wednesday and Thursday.
Topics include the types of tools used in the manufacture of incense, standards used in the manufacturing process, and much more.
The event will run from 4pm to 7pm at Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre.
Both the workshops are open to those aged 14 and above.
