THE nation’s largest, and most popular, consumer fair is set to open its doors today at the new Exhibition World Bahrain for the first time ever.
The 33rd edition of the Autumn Fair will be held under the patronage of the Tourism Minister Fatima Al Sairafi, and will run until December 30.
The vendor booths and entertainment areas are spread out across Halls 5 and 6 at the complex in Sakhir.
“Bringing authentic products and hidden gems from around the world, Autumn Fair is an essential pillar of Bahrain’s retail industry, attracting and delighting thousands of visitors every year,” the organisers for the event said, in a statement.
This year, entry is free to the fair which will also feature a jewellery pavilion as well as Al Hawaj Bazaar and a home furnishing area.
Locally made products will also be highlighted at a special booth, in collaboration with Export Bahrain.
“This is an unparalleled opportunity to gain exposure, as the Autumn Fair is one of the largest and leading exhibitions in Bahrain,” explained Export Bahrain’s operations executive director Fatima Aziz Rostam.
More than 165,000 visitors and 650 exhibitors from over 16 countries attended the last edition of the Autumn Fair.
This year, a dedicated children’s game zone has also been set up, in addition to planned entertainment for families and individuals of all ages.
As a special treat, the Autumn Fair is also holding a special raffle draw, where an iPhone 14 Pro Max will be given away to one lucky attendee.
“From handy household items to mouth-watering food stalls, popular fashion to children’s toys, new products to old favourites – this nine-day consumer fair has something for everyone!”
The festival will be inaugurated at noon today and will run until 10pm today and tomorrow. On Saturday and Sunday, it runs from 10am to 10pm, with a two-hour break between 2pm and 4pm on Sunday.
On Monday and Tuesday, there are two ladies-only slots, where only women can visit the fair, from 10am to 2pm each day. The fair is open to all in the evening from 4pm to 10pm.
On Wednesday, the fair runs from 10am to 2pm and from 4pm to 10pm.
On the final two days, the Autumn Fair is open from 10am to 10pm.
The event is free for all, but attendees are encouraged to pre-register on www.theautumnfair.com to avoid waiting in line at the door.
Registration is not required for children under the age of 15.
