The Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) has suspended all its electronic services, and also stopped receiving visitors in all centres yesterday.
The move coincides with the authority’s strategic development plan and transition to the new billing system.
Suspension of EWA’s e-services started at 3.30pm yesterday, and will last until Monday.
Citizens and residents received text message notifications informing them that the authority’s e-services will not be available until 8am on Monday.
The authority also stopped receiving visitors at all of its centres, but will continue to receive complaints, remarks and inquiries via the hotline during the period of suspension of e-services.
The transition to the new billing system will be carried out in phases to ensure that subscribers are not affected.
