Prominent members of the Indian expatriate community living in Bahrain yesterday met with their home country’s Lower House of Parliament Speaker Om Birla on the side-lines of the IPU.
He greeted the delegation featuring business leaders, doctors, educationalists and executives of cultural organisations.
“The relationship between India and Bahrain is not just that of two countries, it is a relationship based on human sensibilities and cultural values which has been strengthen by the hard work, loyalty, diligence and dedication of the Indian diaspora,” said Mr Birla.
