PEOPLE have been warned against fraudulent social media accounts in Bahrain claiming to sell legitimate concert tickets.
The anti-corruption and economic and electronic security general directorate urged citizens and residents to deal through official channels, and refrain from divulging personal and financial details over the phone.
“These fraudulent accounts are claiming to sell concert tickets; however, they are stealing money after getting personal banking details,” it said in a statement yesterday (June 6).
People were also urged to report suspected fraud cases to the hotline 992.
