Bahrain under-23 team beat Thailand’s Prachinburi FC 9-0 in a friendly game held as part of a training camp being held in Bangkok.
Hussain Abdulkarim, Khlifa Al Lafi and Hassan Abdulnabi scored two goals each for Bahrain. Salman Abdulla, Ahmed Dia and Ali Mohammed Reda were the other scorers for the team.
The 28-member squad landed in the Thai capital last Friday for the training camp ahead of the 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers which begin in early September.
Bahrain have been drawn in Group D of the 11-group qualifying phase and will host Japan, Palestine and Pakistan in the kingdom from September 4-12 for the crucial games.
The camp, being held under the guidance of coach Dario Basic, is scheduled to run until August 16.
