A 14-year-old Bahraini boy missing since Sunday was found dead in a waterway in Adhari yesterday.
The Capital Governorate Police said initial findings indicate drowning as the cause of his death.
Several citizens paid condolences to the boy’s family on social media. Meanwhile, the chief prosecutor of the Capital Governorate said they received a report of the body at Al Khamis Police Station yesterday.
Forensic evaluation revealed no injuries or any evidence of violence or resistance, the official said, adding that investigations were underway to uncover the circumstances surrounding his death.
Legal proceedings have been initiated and the Public Prosecution has been notified.
