The University of Exeter in the UK has announced that it will be offering a new MA in Magic and Occult Science in 2024.
The course is believed to be the first of its kind in the UK and will offer students the opportunity to study the history and impact of witchcraft and magic around the world on society and science.
The one-year programme will be taught by academics with expertise in a wide range of subjects, including history, literature, philosophy, archaeology, sociology, psychology, drama, and religion.
It will cover a broad range of topics, including the role of magic in the West and the East, the history of witchcraft and magic, and the relationship between magic and other disciplines such as science and religion.
Course leader Professor Emily Selove said that the course was designed to meet the growing interest in magic and the occult, both inside and outside of academia.
