Capital School, a prominent educational institution and a member of the Al Safar Group, has announced a momentous collaboration with the British Council, marking a significant step in enhancing educational opportunities in Bahrain.
Capital School has signed an agreement with the British Council to become an official IELTS (International English Language Testing System) registration centre and will be able to welcome candidates for closed group testing effective immediately. Additionally, the British Council will work with Capital School this month as its training Venue Partner to deliver IELTS Train the Trainer Programme for a group of over 25 teachers from various schools and organisations in Bahrain.
The collaboration promises to be a game-changer for both institutions. Capital School’s state-of-the-art facilities, conveniently located in Bahrain, offer a prime location for students and test-takers not only in Bahrain but also for those arriving from Saudi Arabia. The synergy between Capital School and the British Council will enable students to access world-class education services, thereby contributing to the development of Bahrain’s education sector.
One of the most exciting aspects of this partnership is the launch of operating IELTS preparation workshops at Capital School. These workshops will be available not only to students and teachers but also to members of the public who are preparing to migrate or pursue higher education abroad. This comprehensive approach ensures that anyone seeking to enhance their English language skills for international opportunities can access the necessary resources directly at Capital School.
This collaboration is a testament to the commitment of both Capital School and the British Council in line with the strategy of the Education Ministry to implement training programmes in the schools focused on assessing English language proficiency through IELTS and delivering the best educational services to Bahraini citizens and residents. By working together, these institutions aim to provide greater accessibility to top-tier education and assessment services, fostering a brighter future for the people of Bahrain.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with the British Council,” said Nicola Matthews, principal of Capital School. “This collaboration opens up new avenues for pupils and professionals in Bahrain to reach their full potential. We look forward to contributing to the development of education in the region and nurturing talents for a global stage.”
Gitanjali Jeganathan, head of business development examinations at the British Council, expressed their excitement about the partnership, saying: “We are delighted to partner with Capital School for IELTS registration and training. This collaboration aligns perfectly with our mission to create opportunities through the English language. The partnership is an important step that reflects the British Council’s commitment to continue supporting the country’s education institutions.
“The collaboration between Capital School and the British Council is set to pave the way for more educational partnerships that will elevate Bahrain’s education sector. With the combined expertise and resources of these institutions, students and teachers in Bahrain can look forward to a brighter future in education.”
