Tatweer Petroleum is expected to award a contract for a new gas processing project by early 2024, Zawya Projects has reported citing a source.
The report said the company is looking for a contractor to design, build, and install new compressor stations and gas dehydration units at its Awali field.
Three companies have submitted bids for the project: TDE Overseas, Arabian International Contracting, and Petrofac International – Bahrain. Tatweer Petroleum is expected to make a decision on the winning bid by mid-January 2024, it added.
The project is part of a larger effort by Tatweer Petroleum to improve its gas processing capabilities and maintain gas production from the Awali field.
It is expected to be completed by 2029.
