The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) yesterday held a graduation ceremony honouring the sixth, seventh and eighth intakes of the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Programme following their assignment periods at the PMO.
The director general of the PMO Hamad Yaqoob Al Mahmeed highlighted the importance of the programme in supporting the kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Mr Al Mahmeed noted that the programme enables Bahraini citizens working in the public sector to further their capabilities and support the kingdom’s wide-ranging advancements across the public sector.
Mr Al Mahmeed emphasised that government work is based on excellence, integrity, creativity and responsibility, which are key traits possessed by all members of the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Programme.
He conveyed to the programme’s beneficiaries the greetings of HRH Prince Salman noting his pride in their efforts throughout their tenure in the programme.
Mr Al Mahmeed commended the pivotal role played by members of the sixth, seventh and eighth intakes, during their fellowship, all of which contributed to various successful national achievements through the tasks and responsibilities entrusted to them.
Finance and National Economy Ministery Under-Secretary of National Economy Osama Al Alawi, gave a speech on behalf of the PM Fellowship Alumni Follow-up Committee.
Mr Al Alawi noted that the graduates’ return to their workplaces is the first step in planting the seeds of civic development which will be key to enhancing and disseminating the culture of government institutional work.
