Bahrain Football Association (BFA) has signed an agreement with Hawk-Eye to provide VAR technology in the kingdom’s stadiums.
The signing followed directives by Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to provide and operate the technology and select a suitable provider.
The agreement includes a comprehensive blueprint in addition to training referees, said BFA secretary general Rashid Al Zaabi said.
GSA chief executive Dr Abdulrahman Askar affirmed the great efforts made in cooperation with BFA to ensure operating the technology in accordance with the best standards. He underlined keenness on catering to the needs of the stadiums and developing the sport sector.
