A Saudi Airlines flight from Riyadh had a close shave while landing in Peshawar on Thursday. Sparks and smoke erupted from the left landing gear of Flight 792 moments after touchdown at Bacha Khan International Airport. Fortunately, the Air Traffic Control responded promptly by alerting the pilots of the situation and calling the airport's fire and rescue services.
The quick response by firefighters proved crucial. They raced to the scene and doused the flames before they could spread. All 276 passengers and 21 crew members safely disembarked using an emergency slide. A major disaster was averted thanks to the airport's swift emergency response.
