Prison guards from the General Administration of Correctional Institutions, in co-operation with the General Administration of Special Forces, on Monday raided prison wards 5 and 6, where they found various narcotic substances, knives, daggers, mobile phones, and other items hidden in secret places within prisoners' luggage.
Prisoners were evacuated, and a thorough search uncovered contraband, which was seized. An investigation is underway to determine how these items entered the prison and will review surveillance footage.
