The National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Center has reported that the governorates of A’Dhahirah, A’Dakhiliyah, North A’Sharqiyah, South A’Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, the southern parts of Muscat Governorate, and the mountainous areas of South Al Batinah Governorate will be affected tomorrow, Wednesday, by rainfall of varying intensity, occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms and active winds. The expected impact level is low to moderate.
The National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Center at the Civil Aviation Authority has issued an alert regarding rainfall of varying intensity that may lead to the flow of wadis, as well as active winds with speeds ranging between 18 and 35 knots (33 to 64 km/h), along with reduced horizontal visibility during rainfall.
Additionally, parts of the governorates of Muscat, Musandam, Al Buraimi, North Al Batinah and Dhofar are expected to be affected by scattered light to moderate rainfall, occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms, with a low (limited) impact level.
The Civil Aviation Authority urges everyone to exercise caution and vigilance during thunderstorms, avoid crossing wadis, stay away from low-lying areas and refrain from going to the sea during the alert period.
