A murder suspect in Kuwait admitted to the charges of premeditated murder but claimed that "the devil" made him do it.
The suspect was being heard at a session of the criminal court regarding the murder case of Ahmed Al-Jalal when he said, "Yes, I stabbed him after the devil, as I believe, intervened."
When asked if there were any disputes between them, the suspect said, "No, there were no disagreements between us. However, I felt as though the devil was present, and I was in a state of confusion at the time of the crime, feeling both alive and dead simultaneously."
The suspect further testified that he didn't even really know the victim.
According to court transcripts, the suspect took a knife from his house in the Raqqa area, drove all the way to the victim's house in Hadiya, and stabbed him. The suspect then reportedly left without any other interactions.
When asked why he committed the crime, the suspect said, "I don't know. I felt 'dead' and 'revived' after the crime."
