These projects aim to improve traffic flow, reduce travel time and support economic and commercial activities.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasised that the Muharraq Ring Road project aligns with the ongoing development in Muharraq, particularly its northeast, covering investment, tourism, commercial and residential sectors.

He received a briefing on the proposed fourth bridge project, which will improve traffic flow in northern Muharraq and create new access routes, including a sea bridge connecting Al Sayah to Bahrain Bay.
He also reviewed tree planting efforts along the road and directed the acceleration of these works to meet climate goals by 30 per cent by 2035 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2060.
Shaikh Khalid commended the efforts of the national workforce that delivered this vital project eight months ahead of schedule.
