Racing flags off at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) today in the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2025.
Engines will roar and sparks will fly as the highly anticipated race weekend is set to thrill the kingdom’s motorsport fans with three full days of top-class racing.
BIC’s gates are scheduled to open this morning at 9am and will close at 11pm.
The action will be headlined by the first two practice sessions of F1, each to be held over an hour’s duration. The opening session is scheduled for a 2.30pm start in daytime conditions, and then it will be followed by the second at 6pm at night, under lights.
Thousands of Formula 1 fans flocked to the BIC in Sakhir last night to get an up-close look at their favourite teams and try to spot some of the top motorsport talent competing at the venue this weekend.
Prior to the start of the racing programme today, the BIC welcomed three-day ticketholders last night for the F1 Pit Lane Walk.
The F1 weekend kicks off today with on-track and off-track thrills planned throughout the three days. This year’s race weekend is being held under the theme ‘The Desert Never Sleeps’.
