British actor Isaac Hempstead Wright, best known for playing Bran Stark on the popular TV show Game of Thrones, is the latest celebrity guest confirmed to be attending Bahrain Comic Con (BCC) next month.
The organisers announced yesterday that Mr Wright will be joining other celebrities like Harry Potter actress Katie Leung, wrestling superstar Dalip ‘The Great Khali’ Singh and Disney artist James C Mulligan, at BCC, taking place on May 2 and 3 at the Bahrain International Circuit.

“Isaac Hempstead Wright is coming to Bahrain Comic Con, and he’s bringing the spirit of the North with him,” BCC organisers Dallah Promotions said in a post on social media.
“From the haunted halls of Winterfell to the highest seat in Westeros he’s seen darkness, defied death, and led with wisdom.”
The 26-year-old Mr Wright gained recognition and critical acclaim for his role as Bran Stark in the HBO television series Game of Thrones, in which he first appeared at the age of 12.
He went on to become the ‘Best Young Actor’ at the 2013 TiBS Scifi Awards for his work, and was nominated four times for ‘Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in Drama Series’ by the Screen Actors Guild.
Amongst other celebrities announced so far is Japanese game director and producer Katsuhiro Harada, known for titles like Tekken and Dark Souls.

“This year, I’ll be attending the Bahrain Comic Con for the very first time,” the 54-year-old Bandai Namco general manager said in a post on Instagram.
“I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone there, having autograph sessions and chatting with you all. See you there!”
Metal Gear Solid producer Scott Dolph, Perfect Blue animator Eiji Matsuo and the first Saudi female superhero’s creator Prince Fahad Al Saud have also been confirmed to be attending this year’s BCC.
Prince Fahad is the founder of Bedouin Comics, and co-wrote Latifa: The Bedouin Blade with Stan Berkowitz.

In addition, Katie Leung, who first gained recognition for playing Cho Chang in the Harry Potter movies and later went on to portraying Lady Araminta Gun in Bridgerton, will also be at BCC on May 3.
Overwatch voice actress Aysha Selim will also be appearing at BCC, which is being held under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority president and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
In addition to celebrity appearances, there will be Tekken 8, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Marvels Rivals, Street Fighter, Fortnite, Overwatch, Mobile Legends, FC25, Valorant and Mortal Kombat esport tournaments, each with prize pools ranging from $500 to $1,500 (BD188 to BD565).
There will also be a cosplay competition in collaboration with Middle East Cosplay Summit, with a prize pool of $3,000 (BD1,131).
