StartUp Bahrain’s fourth annual StartUp Bahrain Weekend, powered by Tamkeen and in partnership with Brinc and others, concluded at Bahrain Polytechnic, celebrating the rapid creation of startups.
More than 200 participants transformed ideas into MVPs in 54 hours, competing for a BD3,000 prize pool judged by industry leaders.
WISHD, a platform for saving and organising products, clinched first place.
Second place went to Akeed, a secure identity and communication platform for institutions.
SIGNify, with its smart AR glasses for the hard-of-hearing, took third.
WISHD founder Sawsan Haider praised the event for its transformative impact.
Akeed founder Husain Sabba, a two-time winner, highlighted the weekend’s role in startup growth.
SIGNify’s Omar Saba expressed pride and gratitude for the support received.
NervaGrid was also recognised with the General Assembly Choice Award for its innovative governance data quality and AI maturity assessment platform.
